Purpose:
The CArE DARE concept was created by Angi Yowell to challenge
the rival departments (CArE Eng. and Mechanical Eng.) to a
contest of collecting the most money to purchase bicycles
for GRACE (Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise) for Christmas.
The department who collected the most money would receive
breakfast treats courtesy of the other department.
At the same time, The School of Engineering initiated The
Dean's Safety Dare by challenging the other departments within
the school to collect money to purchase helmets for all of
the bicycles that were purchased for the CArE DARE. The department
who collected the most money for The Dean's Safety Dare was
treated by the Dean's Office with breakfast treats. |
